From the Pastor's Desk:
With the recent celebration of Memorial Day and the 4th of July, I believe God is calling us to pray for our nation. Unemployment, crime and other problems affect us at a national and local level. With the elections coming this fall, we seem to be at a great risk to become even more fractured and divided.
   So let us pray for our nation, our states, our cities and our communities. Let us pray for peace, and let us pray for justice. And always, let us pray that God's will, not ours or someone else's, be worked out in this land God has blessed us with.
   So let us remember these holidays, and every day with a prayer, that we might grow deeper in our understanding of being "One Nation under God."
